Course Overview
The Fork-Lift Truck Operator Basic and/or Refresher Course provides delegates with the knowledge and practical skills required to operate forklift trucks safely in the workplace. The course is designed to meet recognised industry standards and is suitable for both novice operators and experienced drivers requiring refresher or conversion training.
Training covers the safe operation of counterbalance and reach trucks, including pre-use checks, safe manoeuvring, load handling, stacking and de-stacking, and the responsibilities of forklift operators. Delegates develop an understanding of truck stability, load handling principles and the hazards associated with forklift operation.
The course is AITT accredited and HSE approved, with training delivered in accordance with recognised industry guidance, including the HSE Approved Code of Practice for operator training. Training can be delivered at Carl Stahl's Rotherham training facility or at the customer's workplace.
